A tidy Golf that drives well, with a healthy engine and gearbox and no warning lights. It needs money spending soon: the front brakes are at the end of their life and a front tyre is wearing unevenly, which points to the alignment being out.

The MOT history shows the same brake and tyre advisories carried over for two years, so these haven’t been dealt with. The service record also has a gap after 52,000 miles.

We’d buy it, but ask the seller to fit front discs, pads and a tyre, or knock around £450–£600 off the price.
