- Load area, bulkhead, ply lining, door hinges, locks and roof for damage and corrosion
- Chassis, sills and underside for rust and accident repair
- Clutch, gearbox and dual-mass flywheel, common wear items on working vans
- Diesel particulate filter and EGR warning signs, and OBD2 fault codes
- Tyres, brakes, suspension and steering
- Mileage against the MOT history and service records

Which vans do you inspect?
Light commercial vehicles that can be driven on a car licence, such as panel vans, crew vans, pickups and car-derived vans. Call us before booking for anything larger or specialist, such as tippers, Lutons with tail lifts or converted vehicles.
Can you inspect a van at an auction or a business?
Yes, as long as the seller allows the inspection and gives access to the vehicle and keys. Some auction houses limit road tests, in which case we’ll tell you what we could and couldn’t check.
Do you check that the mileage is genuine?
We compare the odometer with the MOT history and any service records, and look for wear that doesn’t match the mileage.
How much does it cost?
Van & commercial vehicle inspections use our fixed prices, from £69.99 for Basic up to £169.99 for Ultimate, with no travel charge in London. We recommend Full or above, for the diagnostic scan and road test. Not sure which suits your van? Call us.
